Had a phone call today telling me I’m fit for work!! so excited…Now all I have to do is go down the job centre and pick a job!problems might arise because i can’t walk very far without difficulty. I did tick less than 50 metrres.
I can suffer with double incontinence. I can not remember stuff and certainly can’t learn any new skiils. I’ll need a bed at work because I spend most of the day sleeping. often I can’t find the right words to communicate. Oh yes, I take codeine most of the daY so can’t really continue as a nurse or care for anyone…I’m sure you get the idea!!“!”
Havinng been to uni/trasined as a nurse and did not apply for IB or DLA for 9 years afdter diagnosis, I am well P’d off.
I filled the form in in January ,or rather my husband did,. I havent had a medical and my GP has been off sick since before christmas so god only knows who they spoke to. She did say I have a year to find a job.
anyone have an ideA what i can do/?
AND please…I WOULD LOVE TO WORK. Ta…
I can understand all those symptoms and I feel for you
I have been going through hell with ESA ever since March when they removed my benefit… It is best to appeal now! it may take a year for them to start that after all since I have been waiting since March 12 for my appeal, they told me it may be around July 13! so it is def an idea to start asap.
Many if not all MS branches have a deal with Citizens Advice to assist with appeals. It may be worth getting some advice from them via your local branch.
They are not taking the micky they are going to cut welfare benefits by fair means or foul. If in your case it has been by foul means then Citizens Advice may be able to help.
That tale should be unbelievable, but sadly it is.All I can suggest is that you try not to get stressed.Easier said than done, but you could focus your attention on the Practice Manager. He/she/it is in some part responsible for your situation, and who filled out the paperwork at the surgery?..The cat.
Good luck,
Wb
im sorry about the wrong decision they gave you, a bunch of clowns could have given you a better decision, i may not be able to do much but ill help where i can if you ned it, whether it be support on here, you will get alot of help and support here, i found that out n it over whelmed me (happily over whelmed)
This is an all to common story these days.
Perhaps they think you could find a job as a modern day scarecrow…crazy!
Good luck in sorting the idiots out.
