Im happy! Got in touch with motability and whilst dvla have my license I am able to do a driving assessment to see and try out different controls so i can drive safely! That means when license comes back I can get an adapted motability car, and fiiiiinally get about again!!
Anyone got experience of having a driving assessment?? What happens?

Gunna be a while before i can get the car, but im hoping with a driving assessment it MIGHT speed up dvla in deciding to send my license back instead of waiting for lots of doctors reports LOL
I had a driving assessment, to be honest I am probably not as badly affected as you, I believe mine was just a formality. But the gentleman who carried it out was lovely, they check your eyesight and your reaction times and then I took him for a wee run around the town waving at my husbands colleagues who were very curious to know why I had a strange man in the car with me.
Being serious he told me their aim was to keep people driving for as long as physically possible. I was under the impression that they can help with whatever adaptions are needed and advise the DVLA of the outcome.
