Has anyone had an MRI of brain AND full spine and knows how long it takes? Only had one of my brain before and it took about 45 minutes. Just wondering how long I’m going to be in there for. Appointment is this coming Weds. Thanks in advance for any advice xx
Hi I had one done recently with contrast and I’m sure I was in and out within an hour.
Hi, yes I have, I was told it would take about 70 mins, but from what I recall it didn’t take that long, more like 50 mins. Its a bit boring just lying there and a bit unconfortable but not as bad I thought.

if they do an MRI of your head do you get to have headphones with music or not? I’ve had an arthrogram before on a shoulder which took over an hour and had to listen to coldplay on a loop! but not sure I could have this for brain MRI? Sorry for jumping in on the thread, my MRI is on Friday xx
I had a brain and spine MRI recently and it took about 30 mins…and I had radio 2 playing through headphones. It is a very noisy procedure so the headphones did help
