Aloe Vera Juice?

Hi folks,

Somebody has suggested trying Aloe Vera juice to help with energy levels and general well being - has anyone tried it and what did you find?

Thanks

Luisa x

No, sorry. Where would you get it?

Thanks for your replies - a friend of a friend is a consultant for the company that supplies it - looking at her email again, she refers to Aloe Vera Gel rather than juice. She also says that they have a 60 day money back guarantee if you find no benefit from it, so I think I’ll give it a bash - nothing ventured eh?

Not sure about general wellbeing etc, but it is the very thing for livening up a sluggish gut! I agree that it’s the gel you want. If you try it, would you please let us know? I did take it years ago and used to like the taste, but had forgotten all about it.

I would say yes try it and if you can go for a high grade juice…and one with MSM in it as this is a very powerful anti inflamatory as it often refered to as natures version of a steroid. I have used it in the past and really you need to give it 3 mths but I noticed my energy levels come up within 2 wks. Also tell you dr you are taking it…as it can affect certain blood tests ie diabetes. I have been a distribtor for some time so I would advise speaking to you contact about it and if its right for you. Also bear in mind it can laso enhance the drugs(adaptogenic) you may be taking at prsent…which is a good thing in my view. It is an all round balancer internally and will rebalance your susytem_ digestive, immune, internal organs aswell as cleanse the gut and make you your body can then absorb nutrients form food etc better. Hope this helps. I supply to people for thier pets aswell as it has some great benefits there too… Also very good to use after post op recovery re the liver and also after illness ie virus etc…

Hello, funnily enough my husband and I have just returned from a week in Lanzerote, where aloe vera is cultivated in farms. We visited one and a woman gave us a demo of how the leaf is prepared and a talk about its wide range of medicinal applications and benefits. I did rub some on my arms, which had caught the sun somewhat, and she encouraged us to swallow a cube of the jelly-gloopy like substance she had extracted. But it made me gag. A slurp of aloe vera liquor and a piece of aloe vera cake was more to my taste. I hope it works for you.

Thanks again for your replies - I ordered my first batch today and hopefully will get to try it soon. The rep I’ve been dealing with works for Forever Living, and apparently they have the only patent for this type of drink, it’s got more aloe in it than the stuff you can buy in shops.

Ach, I’ll give it a bash, I’m not on many drugs just now, and it’ll not do any harm, there’s even a money back guarantee if it doesn’t do anything.

Hi,

I’ve ordered some Aloe Vera capsules from a company called Desert Harvest in America. The liquids/gels contain Citric Acid which isn’t good for those of us with irritable bladders. Haven’t arrived yet as I chose the cheapest postage option. Duh!

[/quote] can i just take one of the leaves and put it in a juicer, sift out the tuff bits, and drink it? as it is quite common where i am… julien,

The benefits of Aloe Vera as a cure-all are seriously overhyped. This is probably not unconnected with the way it is sold as a pyramid selling way by people trying to make money selling to friend and family. I’m not blaming the people at the bottom of the py. amid trying earn small amounts of money - but that does make them reliable health advisors to the rest of us.

I have a couple of them as house plants and maybe it is nice in tissues but the science for it being a wonder treatment is just rubbish.

Thanks Daff, I get what you’re saying, and I am by no means expecting a “miracle cure” - I just think that these things are worth a go - if it doesn’t do anything, I’ll stop taking it, but from a few of the replies above, some people find it helps, maybe it can help me too?

I have not yet heard aloe vera being a 'cure-all however what my research has found is that many doctors, scientists and nutrtionists speak highly of pure aloe vera and refer it to their clients for many conditions. There are something like 2000 scientific articles written on aloe vera, with positive findings.

The news in Natural News is well researched information. There is no reason NOT to try aloe vera to help with any conditions.

I have also just found this on YouTube. believe or don’t believe, its up to you. I am NOT selling aloe vera but I DO believe in it. It has changed my fathers life - he is now off his medication for his high cholestorol and heart condition!

I am unable to anywhere on the internet that aloe vera is a cure-all Daff, however what I can find is alot of evidence and experience that aloe vera can relieve symptons of many chronic diseases, skin problems and digestive problems. There are some 2,000 scientific articiles written on the benefits of aloe vera.

Its all very well having an opinion of ‘hyped info’ but when you hear and read the people who have experienced incredible turn around in their symptoms of these chronic illnesses one can’t but help to listen to what is going on.

Having done a search for ms and aloe vera I found this youtube video. Believe or not believe, this woman has experienced a positive difference.

Another researcher and writer of health information whom I have followed now for some time refers to aloe vera as a miracle plant. No-one is suggesting as aloe being a miracle cure but that it is a miracle plant because of its benefits.

I am a believer because my father has been able to decrease his heart medication quite dramatically since drinking the aloe vera gel. The stuff, for whatever reason works to help aleviate. According to the health writers, aloe vera does not CURE, it HELPS ease the symptoms.

Is anyone still using this…

I am trying to do some research on the benefits of drinking aloe gel for a very dear friend of mine who suffers with MS she uses sticks and is now using a wheelchair and mobility scooter. How did everyone get on with drinking the gel?

Well, years ago I was, most unwisely, coaxed by a direct salesperson into buying the stuff. It was very pleasant, but he then did keep ringing me up to ask whether it had cured my MS yet and, in the end, I had to be a bit sharp with him to stop him bothering me with such damned fool questions.

It’s awfully good for constipation, though, and that is not a trivial benefit fro many of us with MS - your friend included, perhaps. Do avoid the direct sales people like the pest, though. They really are a nuisance.

Alison

Aloe Vera will not ‘cure’ anything but can help relieve symptoms and discomfort. @alison100 I am so sorry you had that experience. That isn’t great.

I found some amazing info on the benefits of aloe, but it works in conjunction with other medications and a balanced diet. All in moderation.

Thank you - you have reminded me of the name of the shower who irritated me all those years ago - ‘Forever Living’ they were called. Quite a similar name to your ‘Forever Knowlege’ link - just coincidence, perhaps.
