Hi all. Hope you are having a great bank holiday. Long time since I have been on here, sorry.
I have been advised that I need to have one of these fitted, I’ll admit I am not good with things like this. I want to be left alone. Can anyone tell me what the procedure is like and the outcome? I am extremely nervous to say the least
Hi CC, what is the reason for needing a catheter?
I’ve had one for 10 years. It is great most of the time, but can be troublesome.
Even so, I know I am better with it than not, as I have mobility and am doubly incontinent.

Hi, I have SPMS and continence has become a problem, particularly as I now can’t stand or walk so I am reliant on my husband and the use of slings. It is also stopping me going out anywhere.
Hi again CC, although SPC can have issues, it is still better than being as you are now.

Ive had my SPC for about 18 months. I can go out and enjoy a coffee without rushing back after to go to the loo.
Don’t get me wrong you can still have issues but they are way less dramatic.

Yes it is all good things I hear about this, but, as I said I am Super nervous. Firstly, and more importantly, how long are you in hospital as I work full time.
I just need some more info on the procedure, recovery time etc. CC is just a big woos I know
