advice please - is this the hug?

Not diagnosed - awaiting neurology appointment.

5 times in the last year i have experienced this horrible throbbing sort of pain in my right side rib area at the front. It lasts hours. I can feel it coming on then it sort of intensifies as the day goes on - i have felt sick with it and the only thing that slightly relieves it is adding pressure to the area ( i was lying down on my front with a hot water bottle under me pressing in). The only way i can describe it is as if someone has put their hand into my ribs and is squeezing?! Its a pain very deep inside. Its not agony but its really not nice.
I have been to a gp twice and was sent for an ultrasound/bloods and all fine.
It last happened last week (on my birthday :frowning: ) and after doing some reading online i saw that someone mentioned Diazepam as being a help to them during an MS hug… i have some so i took one to see and i kid you not the pain went within the hour… this has never happened no matter what painkillers i take!!

So my question is…does anyone relate with this pain? Does it sound like something you have had?

As i mentioned i have not been diagnosed but i have multiple symptoms

I have also for the last 5 days been experiencing a twitch in my left eye

No one can say is the honest answer.

Diazepam would relax any spasmodic muscle, which could be conducive with MS symptoms.
Everyone’s hug is different, though many would experience a tightness around the chest and back. My own manifests itself as a sharp, intense pain in my side.

Unfortunately you have to wait until your appointment/appointments.

Best of luck.
