Could this be MS hug?

Hi all

It has been several years since I was on the site as a user and cannot even remember what name I used back then.

On Friday night I suffered really intense pain around the ribs of my back which then moved right round my ribs. I also turned very pale and slightly grey. This was accompanied by feeling very nauseous and an intense pain in the chest. I was taken to hospital and all tests showed that it was not my heart.

I have never had this before and wonder if it is the infamous hug.

I wondered if anybody could shed any light on this for me please. Thank you.

Hi could be I get it in the back ribs low down it lasts a few days at a time

knowing that the hug is caused by the little muscles (intercostal muscles) between the ribs going into spasm helps me to make sense of what the heck is happening.

amazing how my own immune system can cause me such intense pain.

take muscle relaxants, stay wherever you can get comfortable and ride it out.

diazepam is brilliant for this but difficult to get prescribed.
