Hi all,
I have had MS for 11 years, never really bothered me apart from a numb leg every couple of years.
Last year i had a bad relapse, sadly this time it got me in the spine, T11 and T12, did me quite a lot of damage this time.
Whilst i can cope with the mobility change, and the numbness in my left toes and knees, the biggest issue im having is stomach pain.
The stomach pain is 24x7, like someone twisting my insides badly, never stops since the day i had the relapse over a year ago. Tried all ms drugs you can think of, Baclofen, Amitriptyline, Nortriptypine, duloxetime, etc etc. Took all types of pain killers and muscle relaxants including codeine, morphine, diazepam, etc etc etc.
Had all tests and scans done possible for potential other stomach symptoms or spinal injuries - MRI scans, CT, Ultrasound, Xray, camera down the throat and up the other end- nothing.
Seen endless specialists as well, both MS and Abdominal, been to the pain clinic, chiropractor, etc, nothing has helped and no one can put a finger on why im having this pain, all i get is its either MS related or its chronic pain.
Ive tried prescribed drugs, i’ve tried mental heath sessions (CBT), nothing has helped
So - having said all the above has anyone jad a similar experience and did anything help take the pain away or even calm it down?
Im open to any suggestions, its a horrible existance so i’ll try anything to help it.
Thanks
