a bit of nonsense (not ms)

i just can’t help it but since getting ms i’ve started watching what my son calls cr*p telly.

so i watched the x factor. usually the talent gets kicked out early (like ellie this year) but tonights final was between 2 talented guys. i liked lucy spraggan but she chose to drop out.

so there’s my guilty secret laid bare.

don’t judge me because i’m sure you watch some tripe too.

i loved jahmene and the bit where nicole scherzinger worked with him at asda. and then sang with him in the gospel choir at his church.

it keeps me amused and gets me off the streets!

Cr*p telly is just another MS symptom carole, I cant help but watch Strictly Come Dancing. Iv tried everything but nothing helps. Think we may need therapy.

Anyone else having this problem???

Kim

Hi Carole,it’s been a while since anybody used tripe, but I do like Masterchef…Provided it is on BBC2.When on 2 the judges are truthful, but the culture of the show is to be positive towards the contestants and their efforts…It’s the judges that make the show, with Greg Wallace and his ‘Sweet Denture’ along with the French geezer doing his Hannibal Lector impression.

When the show is on BBC1 it appears more derogatory and scornful of the competitors, and the accompanying music is about getting our blood pressure and cholestrol levels up.I’m waiting for ‘The Y bother factory on ice…cream’ The contestants will have to skate around the rink tossing a pan of soup, singing their version of ‘I did it my way’ , then explain the mental health issues which make them want to disgrace themselves in front of the nation.

The rest of the time I put short term memory loss to good use by watching interminable episodes of Top Gear.I’m increasingly listening to the wireless, but I am aware that,“Radio Four over-fortifies the over forties”

With square eyes,

thanks kim and wb

its good to know i’m not alone with this disastrous downturn of my viewing taste.

i’m sure that one day we’ll see tripe on the cooking programmed wb

-would you believe Im into footy now as my son has taken over the tv controls now hes out of work. Also snooker whether I like it or not. Think really we so fatigued sometimes its best just to watch whatever is on rather than search for something we used to like.

Even know most of the players names now too, my son keeps looking agog at my knowledge - building by the week.

Perhaps ms educates us into different viewing patterns?
