Story in the papers today about a man who didn’t like his girlfriend reading Fifty shades of Grey so went round

to her house and squirted brown sauce in her face!! For some reason it went to court and he got a fine, 6 months community

service and a curfew for six weeks. Seems a bit harsh.

Maybe he should have waited until she’d got to the end of the book. ha.

If you believe it’s possible that you can be married to the same man for 35 and still be a feminist, then in brief from me-

I find it dissempowering to women (which ironically, ‘real’ BDSM isn’t for the submissive woman).

Incidentally, I had a GP appt today and we both share our love of literature (good literature) and as I left we briefly exchanged words on what each other had read recently, I was told (roughly), “I can’t believe that you of all people read this.” I replied by saying it took me a whole five weeks to get through ( normally get through 2-3 novels a week) because it was unnecessarily long and badly written, and have no intention of reading the others as I mentioned previously.

I’m loving Fifty Shades of Grey (only part way through book one) and I consider myself to be a feminist. I thought it was a real hoot, it’s obviously not a book to be taken seriously.

I loved the dynamics between ‘virgin Ana aged 20 who’d never even had a fiddle with herself’ and ‘weirdly warped but ultimately romantic and loving, not to mention mega rich Christian’…having a great laughhere!!!

Well having heard so much about it l decided to get the first book - ordered it from Amazon - new paperback only £3.99including the p&p. l have a friend with the 2nd and 3rd books. So looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. l see they also do ‘the T-Shirt’.
