Not strictly MS related though i have been told it could potentially help, i sighned up for stop-tober recently and i’m on my 11th day of no cigarettes, extremly proud of myself as even at a young age (26 but the word young makes me feel better) i am making great progress at beating the addiction, it is extremely hard but im determind to do it, anyone else doing it? As i know thousands of people have signed up to try and quit
Well done on 11 days smoke free that’s amazing - you should be really proud of yourself! Keep it up- good luck x
Thankyou
Well done you, I know how hard it is, I did it 3 years ago and still chewing the gum occasionally when I’m tempted. Its so worth it, hope you are going to treat yourself to something good with all that money you’re saving!
Good luck and give yourself a pat on the back!

well done you, i have been stopped 7 years, but i once stopped for 7 years before and started again, hope i dont this time, i always went cold turkey too,cos i like the challange.
Well done Kevin !
I packed in smoking through sheer willpower in 1998, after several failed attempts using fake ciggies, nicotine gum and all sorts of boiled sweets to try to make things easier.
It’s a really tough thing to do (especially as you start to get your appetite back !!) so you’re doing incredibly well.
Hope you continue …just keep thinking of the money you’re saving and how much it’s doing for your health.
All the best,
Dom
Thanks guys, appreciate it
you have p m.
Hey Val, yeah iv treated myself to a few cheeky accumalators at the bookies (that wont be my next addiction haha) only £1 on each so still spending less than i was on the cancer sticks! Thanks again, and stenovski iv read and replied to the pm
Hi and well done you. My hubby was a 40 a day man. Then a year ago, he was having some night time breathing problems. He had an x ray and was told there were shadows. He immediately threw his cigs and lighter away. Then he saw a doc who said his x ray had got mixed up with someone else`s and his was fine!!!
But he decided he wanted to quit the fags anyway. he saved his pennies and a few months later, our daughter needed a car, and as she and her ex were splitting up, she had no spare brass. Hubby said the money he was saving was for a pressy for me for our upcoming 40th wedding anniversary. I said I`d rather see our lass with some wheels.
Well since that time, he has succumbed and is now on around 10 a day.
I wish you success in your efforts and well done for trying.
luv Pollx
