Worsening symptoms waiting for neurology results

Hi!

I’m new. Looking for others experiences please. I’ve been dealing with debilitating symptoms since December including numbness, altered skin sensations, weird pains, vision changes/floaters, loss of bladder control, weakness in my arms and legs, arms and legs feel heavy and difficult to move, mobility problems and overwhelming fatigue. I had a brain MRI last Friday and got an appointment with neurology on 1st April. However things are just getting so much worse. I just don’t know what to do. I’m struggling to even get to out of bed and do the basics let alone look after my three lovely children and run a home. Can anything be done in the interim? How did you all cope in the waiting phase? I am trying so hard to rest as much as I can but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I am not an anxious person in the slightest usually but the anxiety and frustration of just waiting and feeling awful is really really hard. How did you all cope? Does anybody have any suggestions on what might help?

Thanks in advance

Hi Jess

I was diagnosed with CIS late Feb this year and spent just over 4 weeks in hospital, with CT ,MRI scan and spinal tap completed.

I too have the leg pain, burning sensation, numbness and lack of strenght on the left of my body, and now use a walking pole at moment, to keep my balance when walking.

Ive found the incontinence difficult to deal with, but accept precautions are needed.

I do small walks everyday then have to rest as the fatigue i find difficult at times.listen to your body small steps do what you can !

Been off work from 11th Feb 2026 and should have the spinal tap results this week MS or not?.

My job has basically gone as work outside on building laddets etc,so have find new job asap.

Please try keep positive and i wish you all the best.

Paul.
