Where is everybody?!

That Blue jay looks a cutie, some of our birds are mean too, just about everyone leaves when the thugish greenfinches or Starlings show up! Fingers crossed you get a hummingbird shot, but don’t try so hard that you miss the joy of just watching them.

I had a goldfinch sitting on the clothes line this morning, not 6’ away from me, and I didn’t have the camera!

some of my best pictures are in my head! not everything gets to the camera.

Not a particularly good picture, but my son took it through the screen on his upstairs window. This was after Charlie barked at her and got within 5 meters before his cable stopped him. The deer just looked at him for a bit and then wandered off. She’s between the apple and cherry trees. Once he realized that she wasn’t going to come and play, Charlie just sat with me on the porch while we watched her go about her business.

Hi @jactac

I definitely understand why you dislike the new site. For me it’s the disjointed effect. Plus, sometimes I see a thread that has a comment (or more than one) I’ve not read.

I have a quick scan, think ‘I’ll answer that later’, then can’t find it again.

Plus, often people post as you have, then others go on with a separate conversation (there’s no reason why they shouldn’t) but your valid comment is lost among the pretty but irrelevant (to your post only) birds.

I miss people like you. You’ve always had rational, relevant points to make. There’s no stick up your a***, you still have good humour but you’re not an idiot. You have every right to distance yourself from here, but I do hope that you’ll gradually become more accustomed and post more frequently.

Same here I have been coming on the forum for a lot of years but only.
Come on now and then now.I think what they have done is very inconsiderate, they have not thought about how us with ms can struggle with big changes such as this change, they have lost lots of users because of it and they don’t care one bit.I am disgusted with the lack of concern and I will not be supporting the mss again I am moving on to something new.

Wotcha,

we went to look for the carnivorous Sundew plants today and found foals and got spotted by Bambi’s cousin Ralph.

Oh mrsJ, you will really be missed.

There are so many of our friends (virtual, but I, like so many others count you all as friends, my MS family) on the missing list, I can’t even remember you all.

Damn this change. I am getting used to it, lots are. We don’t have to like it, and I certainly dislike intensely the fact that so many of us are leaving.

Well, hello lovelies, it’s been a while. I am trying to navigate this brave new world & so far, failing spectacularly. This is certainly a step up from a floppy disc. Really nice to see everyone popping up, I will be in touch very soon my beloved sister Sue, at least I can email . Hi Mick:wave:, just seeing if my reply is able to be viewed & not lost in the virtual space void, if this works its 1 step for the DC, & 1 more step to conquer all that is new & digital. As Arnie says, I’ll be back, hopefully, soon. Xx

Brilliant to hear from you, sounds like it is getting close to Gin o’clock
M

Certainly is :joy:, mind you it’s always Gin o clock Mick, hope you are ok. Thought I might try to suss things out, besides I’ve missed you all xx

Omg  Tracey, my lovely twin sister!!

Did you get lost and somehow end up here? You have been missed. And not just by the gin swillers. Although we (of course) drink your health regularly! Or at least, we drink gin regularly. And sometimes irregularly! :imp:!

It’s always lovely to hear from you! How are you, your many illnesses and family (including the lovely pets!). Not forgetting the loopy ones! I hope a certain relative of yours has been kept away from sharp missiles. Throwing biscuits at people is bad enough!

This site is an awkward so and so. But the more you use it the easier it gets. We have lost a fair few people. Some just hate this site and/or can’t get their heads round it.

It’s still friendly, just not quite the same. And of course there’s no replacement for the Brain Fog. Sadly, it seems lots of the old foggies are among the missing. Just me and Mick who are on here very frequently.

I’m doing my best to keep the gin distilleries going. Not that they needed too much help during Lockdown. Apparently people were driven to drink and while pubs were shut, it meant DC doubles were the order of the day. Luckily, Sainsburys has had Bombay Sapphire on offer for months. And you can now buy Rangpur from that company whose name is the same as a river in South America. Huzzah!

I’ve been on short rations today though. Mr Sssue went out for a drink with an old colleague. Of course I can’t be trusted to drink alone. Too accident prone :face_with_head_bandage:!

Lovely to ‘see’ you. Do try to make a habit of it. After all, everyone should have at least one good habit!

Sister Sue :kissing_heart:xx

I’m in Dunfermline, Fife. Since the forum changed I couldn’t access my old account (greengiant), hence me using this new one.

Sadly NHS Fife doesn’t seem to have the best neurology department.
