Wheelchair hire from British Red Cross

Hi everyone,

My family and I have arranged a few days away. Can’t take my scooter as not enough room in the car. Local Shopmobility kindly offered me a push wheelchair which was great, but very heavy at 20Kg.

Looked about and found that the British Red Cross loan all sort of equipment. Went along today, got the smallest wheelchair they have. (I’m small) £20 for up to 6 weeks, what life savers they are. I’ll give a donation too when I get back.

I can now go away knowing I’ll be able to go out and about and enjoy my break with my family.
