Decided to just buy a chair after trialling a Red Cross one so I don’t have to wait. I’ve had it a few days but I’m finding the rims slippery and I have a problem getting a good grip. (Unlike the Red Cross one.) I have been trying it with wheelchair gloves on and off - doesn’t make much difference.

Wonedering if anyone has any advice?

Have a butchers at Mobility Scotland.

I had same problem with my first chair. Realised it was too small with smaller wheels therefore making them harder to turn.

You can buy rim covers in rubber that give it a better grip.
