Hi everyone, ive been back and forth to the GP for the past month or so and have now got a referral to a Neurologist in April. I was just wondering what i can expect from this first meeting? Will i just be going over what my GP has already done or will there be anything more investigative?

From experience you can expect to go over what you’ve said to the GP yes. They’ll ask more searching questions and probably give you a physical examination. From there on it will depend on what you’ve said/they’ve found as to what the next steps will be Hope this helps Mick 
Thank you. i assumed so. its quite a waiting game isnt it?
I know area’s vary greatly but my GP did mention a possible MRI scan after the first visit. I wonder if anyone can say roughly how long this takes.
I’d say pretty much same as Mick…
My nuro asked about symptoms, history and had physical examination…
I also took someone with me (my mum) which helps if I missed anything…

Thanks Vickie and yes I’d take someone with you too. My first two appointments I didn’t and I missed things I wanted to say. Luckily the third time I had my missus with me and she could check I didn’t miss anything
