What is going on!?!

Hey Guys,

I’ve been having some weird, weird stuff happen these last few weeks and it resulted in me going to after hours with no answers, so I went back to my GP who has referred me to see a neurologist “just to check things out”

On New Years eve I had the worst migraine I’ve ever had with aura - I lost sight in my left eye and had the worst stabbing pain behind the left eye. My head was pulsating and it felt like it was going to explode. I thought I had gotten a migraine from doing something to my neck - it was stiff and had really hurt for a few days prior to this. Anyways, I was bed bound for New Years, photosensitive and had terrible nausea and my body felt so weak. The migraine lasted for about 10 hours and Panadol, ibuprofen and even diclofenac did not help. I felt weak and like my balance was off every time I had to go pee. I’m pretty sure I even bumped into the walls in my mad dash to the loo (I also have been diagnosed with overactive bladder a few months back - it’s embarrassing and I have had a bunch of accidents despite being a 28 yr old childless woman, the medication I have been prescribed from my gyno seemed to help for a bit but my bladder stuff has gotten worse with the weird paid and stuff I’ve been helping) After this horrendous migraine I felt absolutely wiped out for about 4 days, I barley left bed and had no energy.

I felt kinda off for about two weeks after this but put it down to stress and needing to be more active. Anyways about a week ago I had a week long bout of intense dizziness - it was almost impossible for me to sit up or stand, I felt like I couldn’t hold my neck up and had the worst nausea. It wasn’t vertigo, just intense dizziness. I’ve been working from home and it got to the point I had to lie down in-between calls I was taking for fear of passing out (and I’ve never passed out) the only thing that would provide relief was if I lay down on bed, or on my yoga mat. About 5 days in to this I decided to go to the after-hours as I LITERALLY felt like I was going to die.

They didn’t have much to say - but ordered a bunch of blood tests and told me to see my GP. All my blood tests came back normal - my thyroid, renal functions, bloods and iron levels were fine. I normally suffer from low iron but have been taking my pills for the last 2 months cause I thought maybe that’s why I had been feeling off.

Anyways, I have been getting more tension type headaches than usual and all this weird stuff made me see my gp (Telephone consult because covid) He didn’t seem to be too concerned because I did mention I had a bit of stressful life stuff going on. He offered to refer me to a neurologist if I wanted as my insurance would cover it so I opted to do that.

Waiting to book an appointment but in the last few days I’ve also been getting like pins and needles in my hands and feet and on the back of my head. I’ve also notice my hands are feeling weak and I’ve been struggling with picking things up opening lids etc. I’ve been getting shooting pain down my neck/ back and down my arms if I move my neck a certain way.

Google points to a tumour or MS so naturally I’m scared (though my GP did say it’s unlikely to be brain cancer ha!)

what symptoms did you guys experience? I feel nuts! and I’m worried the doctors and stuff think I’m being dramatic but something funky is going on. I’ve had way more stressful life stuff without my body feeling like this.

How did you bring stuff up with the neurologist? I’m so worried I’m just noticing all these little things because of anxiety and it’s like nothing?

Anyways, scared and a lil confused - what helped you navigate things when your bodies weren’t cooperating?

The worst thing you can do is Google symptons! Stay away from the Internet you will worry yourself even more.

oh no you googled…and told them?

OK STRESS can trigger migraines and they can make you feel awful, even sick, vertigo, so many things can attach like a magnet.

You have STRESS = MIGRAINES = GOOGLE= CANCER AND MS=STRESS=MIGRAINES
SO more magnets attached, more symptoms follow.

Anxiety isnt NOTHING thats the first thing. Why are you anxious you have a job and you work from home so are you on your own alot?

overactive bladder welcome to my world. you should really be checked out for a water infection. thats for me the first thing. water infections actually can trigger some weird stuff.

nothing you have screams MS. kind of doesnt scream brain cancer either then who am i? I am not a doctor but you are quite happy to let DR GOOGLE scare the pants off you. GOOGLE IS NOT A DOCTOR EITHER.

did you check the tablets the gnyo gave you? some of these meds can trigger migraines, and also weird stuff.

Honestly. My medication for you is, really hydrate well, sit on your yoga mat and do some gentle yoga, watch a youtube with a lapping waves and pretend your on the beach. Anything but HERE.

You dont need to be here, your feeding your anxiety and i am not about to add to it.

Just take a break, being on computer long time too can trigger vision issues.

go out for a walk and just enjoy life, chat with friends, or family go swimming do anything but be on the internet for a week. then see how you feel.

it took me from 2000 to 2016 to find out i had PPMS, and in between i just had a life. xxxx maybe if you got a boyfriend you spend sometime with him?

Or her

no more internet lol.

Yeah, I won’t be googling anymore that’s for sure lol. I have been doing yoga everyday twice a day since my week or so of feeling shit. I’m on solifenacin and have been for about 6 months - haven’t had any side effects apart from a dry mouth the first week I started taking it. I have had several checks for bladder infections but they’ve all been negative. I’ve been working on bladder re-training though not having much success yet! I also had a CT scan of my bladder/kidneys and ovaries, but no problems there. Another reason I’m panicked is because my autoimmune diseases run rampant in my family and I’ve had some scares in the past, but yeah just focusing on de-stressing and will see a neurologist within the next month or so. Thanks for the advice.
