Hi everyone, So I came out of hospital on the 9th February after spending 6 days in there. I started on the 13th January with what I thought was a normal chest infection, doctor thought I’d got a bacterial infection, gave me antibiotics, paracetamol and Ibrufon, my tempreture was between 38.2 and 38.5, so needed to bring that down, it didn’t, it went up to 39, scary. anyway my hubby decided to ring 111, they sent an ambulance, paramedics said basically the infection had taken over my body, my heart rate was sky high, I was blue lighted to hospital, where I was taken to A&E . The next day the doctor told me I’d developed pheumonia, scary, the doctor that was treating me told me that because of the MS, I have spms the infection had hit me harder, now I’m at home still coughing, still struggling to breath, my oxygen levels are down, I’ve been advise again because of the MS it’s going to take weeks/months to get back to where I was. So once again MS has caused me problems, please be mindful when you get any infection and look after yourselfs.

Hi Jean
I am so sorry to hear you have been so poorly and wish you a speedy recovery.
Ms just always sticks it’s nose into everything and make things so much worse doesn’t it.
You must take things slowly now Jean and give your body time to heal, hoping you feel much better soon.
Ssending (gentle) hugs.

Hi Jean, I’m so sorry to hear you are ill and hope you recover as soon as you possibly can. Thinking of you and sending love
Sending you my positive wishes. That sounds terrible. You are on the mend though. Please take it easy, self care. Things will get better, you will see.
What DMT treatment are you on, if you don’t mind me asking? Some make us a bit more vulnerable towards infection.
Hi MariaB123, I have progressive MS, so no DMT for me, never been on any, DX’d 17yrs now. thank you for your good wishes.
