Weird sensations - how do you describe yours?

its called Formication. Yes you read that right lol.

OK i can see why the nurse did that. it is common in drug taking or withdrawal.

to have this without any other symptoms would make it hard to diagnose. I had it for sure, tarantulas over the brow, ants crawling up my legs been there done that, BUT i also had other things, numb left left from knee down weird sensations in my left foot, left sided weakness.

You need to be a detective. Its like solving a puzzle.

think back you said the last 3 months, so did anything happen just before it started? Have you had other things. Formication without anything else would be difficult to pinpoint a disease i am sure of that.

Lymes can have formication as a symptom.

is it constant if so your nurse practioner should be doing more.

why cant you eat, or sleep is it all the time, or are you just overly anxious about it.

believe me i have it at is worse i was constantly going to the hallway mirror expecting to see a huge spider on my face. it did stop suddenly, and i get it now and then.

or are you being attacked by bugs? I know daft question but a couple of times i had looked in the mirror to see an insect lol. phew.

You say you feel your failing as a mother are you a new mum? (you mention GYN) I feel this could be anxiety driven, just an observation, not that you havent had this but its made worse. if you are a new mum it could even be down to a hormone imbalance.

that is about menopause but would still apply to adjustments after pregnancy.

so no your NOT GOING MAD, something is going on. you need to be the detective and think about when it started and go from there.
