Finally got the guts to tell work about my ms. Driving a bus i had too. I have not heard back from dvla yet, my manage called asking them if i could drive, they said its my doctors discretion. So he turned around and said he would give me benifit of the doubt my doc said i could drive, but je wants it in writing asap. I was half expecting my duty card to be taken away and me put on suspention. I feel so much better noy keeping it in!
well done for telling them and congratulations on the upshot, i bet you’ll sleep more soundly now!

bravo!
Hey it had to be done, the worst thing probably was not knowing what the reaction would be!
At least now you should have no fear of decieving them, and they should support you fully!

It was exactly that! I didnt want to loose my job! hard part now is getting a letter off the doctor to say yes i can drive!
When I contacted the DVLA I had to fill out a medical form. It took a long time for them to get the relevant information they needed from my neuro. I now have a three year driving lisence which I think is standard for us with ms.
My neuro told me that there was eligibility, and ability to drive. I am eligible but must be sensible when I know my ability will affect my driving.
I always get a copy of letters my ms team send to my gp, and on one of these it states that I can drive. Do you get copies of your? If so maybe look and see if your neuro has written it down.
