BBC News…
Hmmm I just saw something about this, I’m so sceptical, I just wonder if it’s yet another method of getting more disabled people working and off benefits. They just dress it up like it’s a beneficial consultation/ change.
Sue
Hi, I saw it on the news today as well.
The minister involved focussed his words more on getting them back to work
and less on help those unable to work
.
Hmmm, you just feel a bit less safe, dont you?
At least there is a benefit (no pun intended) to becoming an OAP. I`m 64 and am not in the work scenario anymore.
But I do think about all of you who are under state pension age.
Of course I do still have the DLA transfer to PIP debacle to go through and it scares me silly.
luv Pollxx
Well, I refrained from commenting in the opening post, but share the cynicism of both Sue and Poll. The government will do one thing whilst dressing it up as another. In April next year, new claimants put into the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG) will receive £30 a week less than previously, in fact the exact same amount as Jobseekers Allowance. If that’s not a disability cut, then what is?
I’m glad to see that the MS Society, and others, are on the case.
I reach retirement age next year, so like Poll am not concerned for myself, but fear things just won’t get any better.
Happy Haunting
