Had a mri done recently, just wondered how long it takes for results.
Is it quicker, if ms is active or new lesions etc ?
Any help please ?
Hi, different neuros take differing amounts of times to give results.
If you havent heard anything in 4 weeks,I would ring his secretary and ask.

There are quite a lot of clinical and admin links in the chain before these things get reported back to the person most interested in the result. Covid and associated staff shortages anc Easter holidays etc make a fragile system even more likely to break down somewhere along the line , so things get stuck and delayed even longer than usual. Of course it is possible that your scan is really interesting and has been referred to some multi-disciplinary case conference that meets only once s month or something. But my guess is that plain old-fashioned creaking NHS systems are more likely to be at the bottom of delays.
