Vitamin D - some neurologists' thoughts.

Morning all. Vitamin D supplementation is a topic that comes up from time to time. I thought some of you might find today’s post from Bart’s Blog to be of interest.

Hi thats an interesting article. Im on quite a high dose and take it with Vit K which is recommended if your on a high dose

No chance of any warm sunshine for the next 4+months. So have get it through supplements…

Good article. Thanks Alison. I take 2000iu a day. Need to ask my MS Nurse at next review if I should up it or not.

Such variance between the different neurologists. I’ve been taking 4000 iu per day for several years. I’ve also persuaded my husband (without MS) to take 1000 iu because it helps to avoid the worst effects of Covid apparently.

Interesting you should say that Sue. I was actually surprised by how much broad consistency there was! A couple of outliers for sure, but that’s going to happen when the science isn’t fixed, and it isn’t. I do the same as you by the way.

thank you for that article I’ve just started vit D from the doctor currently got pins and needles after flu vaccine hoping it all settles and vit will help.

i take 4000iu daily.

due to have my bloods done and always request my D3 is checked,
