We are exempt on VAT with our new stairlift and other aids around the home.
Does the exempt VAT apply to anything else ?
It`s all about saving money especially with Christmas coming up.
I managed to get an oven zero rated. It was placed in exactly the right spot, at precisely the right height for me to use it. (And the company that installed our kitchen was quite good for such things!) Now of course, I can’t use it at all, but there are lots of kitcheny things that can be zero rated. And stuff like any items related to making a bathroom suitable for a disability. The wetroom floor for example. Sue

Just Googled. It appears that VAT exemption only applies to disability aids for and around the home.
Not Christmas presents.
