Vaccine

Had the oxford jab last Sunday. Had a reaction later that nigh.sore body shaky and tired. Took a couple of days to get back to my normal. However today I had a shower and came out with a body rash. Not itchy but blotchy red marks. Went away within an hour. Do not know if its the vaccine or just an allegy to something else. Anybody out there with a rash due to vaccine.

I had no reaction at all from the Pfizer jab.

However I have developed another Auto Immune disease, psoriasis which is very itchy!

I was dreadful after the Oxford jab, I really did think I was having a relapse.

Yes I found my ms symptoms fired up for a couple of days. Diasapam and paracetamol helped. Stayed in bed and rested. Not looking forward to jag number 2 but you have to get it. Benefits out way the problems. Showered this morning and no rash appeared but taking a course of antihistamines.

Had 2nd Pfizer shot on Saturday but woke in middle of night with shivers, now have flu like symptoms but gp says it’s ok it’s just a side effect and will go within 24 to 48 hours. I hope so as it has completely floored me.

I had the vaccine on the 3rd of March. For 2 days I felt like I had a very bad dose of the flu, thankfully that disappeared but I was left with even worse fatigue than I usually have but that lifted after a week. Then yesterday I awoke to the return of the flu like symptoms, my injection arm was agony (which it hadnt been before), a swollen gland on my neck & horrible oral thrush all over my mouth. Still feel awful today so Im just about to call the doctor. Oh…also- my sister in law is currently in hospital with a terrible full body rash ( she got her vaccine the same dsy I got mine) x

Sorry you are so unwell.I am not having the vaccine as i am just coming out of a big relapse and i have spoke to the GP about it and he said he could not advise me to have it or not as he didn’t know what effect it would have on me or my MS.If i get any temperature it brings a relapse on and the side effects of the vaccine can be a temperature.

I had the Oxford one and was fine that day next day I was awful like you thought I was having a relapse the 3rd day it was just sore arm but since getting my vaccine 3 weeks ago the fatigue I have everyday is like nothing before I just want to sleep all the time and my energy levels are non existent. Has anyone else been hit hard with any symptoms like this after get first vaccine? I just wish it would pass I am beyond exhausted.

hello mechems

I had no side effects at all from the pfizer jab but it appears that the 2nd dose hits you harder! oh good-ho!

i have a whopper of a cold sore on my top lip.

I haven’t had one of these for over 10 years, so now i’m looking most attractive - not!

if it wasn’t for lock down i’d have a night on the town! again not!

Had the oxford jab about 24hrs ago and so far no side effects.

I had the Oxford jab a few days ago. No side effects at all thus far.

I had the Oxford jab this morning. I’ve felt a bit wiped out this afternoon and my legs are pretty shaky. My Tecfidera flushing also showed up again for the first time in weeks. Hopefully a good night’s sleep will sort it all out.

I’m also on Tec Janet, but that didn’t seem to make any difference to how I felt. Here’s hoping you’ll be fine tomorrow. Most reactions only last a day or two.

Oh gosh i heard with the jags if your okay with 1 the 2nd will be bad and vice versa but this could be over dramatised lol, my other half who hasn’t had Jag or any health issues and he had a massive cold sore on his top lip out the blue last week he woke up and it was swollen he had to get tablets from docs as patches and cream didn’t help, hopemyours clears very soon. I just wish this fatigue would pass I have had ms for years and fatigue hits occasionally but nothing like this it may have nothing to do with the vaccine and my body just run down.thanks for replying :relaxed:

That’s good to hear and how I am feeling could be totally unrelated having had rrms for over 13 years though I have never had fatigue this bad. Normally a relapse effects my eyes and legs but this is making even working from home difficult. Thanks for replying :relaxed:

Thanks RetrovirusUK. I am feeling better today. The only remaining effect is my arm where I had the vaccine is very very sore!
