Recently, I have been going to the toilet and realising that my urine has been smelling quite like popcorn. I’m am not sure what is causing this. It is concerning me quite a lot and sometimes I end up getting into quite a tizzy. If anyone else’s urine is smelling like ready salted popcorn please let me know!
I have been experiencing this too! Sometimes when I urinate, my wee will smell like salted popcorn. I am glad that someone is experiencing this too because it makes me quite worried!
Have a sample tested, could be a UTI.

They will do a dip-test for you at your GP surgery, so either take a wee sample in with you or do one when you get there. Might be best to take a sample in with you and just hand it in. That way you can avoid the “do you have an appointment” dance and just hand it over!
I have had smelly / cloudy wee in the past and they phone or text me in a couple of hours to let me know if it was clear or not. In my case, I can test negative for a couple of weeks of smell / cloudiness before the infection registers. Usually they will prescribe nitrofurantoin or amoxicillin unless you are allergic to penicillin. Ideally they will send some of your sample off to be cultured to make sure they have a correct match of antibiotic for your strain of infection. With our MS bodies, we can be slow to respond / heal and may require more than one course (usually 7 days) to eradicate the infection.
