Hi there, lovely people!
It looks like the heat may have been affecting my walking in the past 2-3 weeks. When I sit or lie down for too long (about 1.5 hours) and then try to stand up and walk, my legs feel weaker for the first few seconds, and I walk a bit funny. Does anyone else experience this?
Otherwise, I’m doing okay with walking.

Hi, heat affects me (Uhtoff’s) ridiculously. Hot baths/showers are out of the question, otherwise I’d get out and promptly faceplant. Hot weather is almost as bad - the end of last week into Saturday most of my ‘walking’ was more like Frankenstein’s monster for the first minute or so.
Totally. I sympathise
. You know what’s really weird? Now that the temperature is cooler, my walking has gone back to normal and my fatigue is almost non existent. I tried swimming in my local swimming pool during the heatwave, but the results are temporary. I deliberately avoid visiting my home country Greece between May and September, simply because the heat affects meridiculously.
How are you feeling today? Everybody is like, Summer, heatwave, at last, and when I tell them that it’s dangerous for the disabled and vulnerable, they call me a killjoy. It’s really annoying. I truly believe that the majority of the people don’t understand us. I have started believing that some people are even against the disabled! They just don’t like them.
Let’s not forget other categories of people who really struggle with the heat. For example, ladies who are going through the menopose. Let’s hope for cooler weather. Xx

Absolutely! And it’s not just my walking - every thing is harder when it’s hot even thinking straight

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear. I won’t think the heat is affecting my heating, but is definitely affecting my mood. I hope you are feeling better today. Xx
Thanks and I am. I live in mid Scotland where it rarely gets particularly hot but the recent combination of heat, high humidity and no wind/ breeze was a bit of a killer. The weather here changed a few days ago and it’s now a much more acceptable 15C and windy
So glad to hear! We have 26 C here as I type this message. I am sending you wishes. Xx Take care.
