Hot weather affecting mobility

Up until last summer I enjoyed the heat but all of a sudden my body just doesn’t seem to tolerate it any more. I sit outside for twenty minutes and my legs become like lead and I can barely shuffle back indoors. I think this might be because of new additional nerve damage? It’s such a shame because I love to sit outside and watch the birds on my bird feeder and see the world go by but now I’m really restricted to how much I can do this.
Anyone else have a similar reaction?

I am totally with you. Sat for about 30 minutes the other day, not directly in the sun and when I stood to go inside my legs decided not to work and hubby helped me inside. My legs have been as if they have elastic bands wrapped round them for a while now, I put it down to being at home and not doing my usual routine but not so sure now.

I work in primary school as a p.s.a. and am due to go back next week I truly hope things settle. My mobility has gotten worse this past year but this is a worsening of kind. Hope everyone doing well during this strange time. Take care, Maryxx

There is another topic further down the page from yours Heat Sensitivity and how to stay cool indoors in summer? - Everyday living - MS Society UK | Forum you might find a few tips there to help you deal with this. Unfortunately it is a problem quite a few of us have to deal with.

Stay safe, stay cool.
