Besides, I’ve always had a soft spot for Halifax, of all places… Love it. 
Can I suggest that Sussex by the Sea is not so bad. We may not have wars fought over us, but we’re mostly nice people and we have a lot of seaside. It may not be sandy, but if you can’t get on the beach anyway, that’s irrelevant. The sea sounds more ‘sealike’ on shingle beaches.
