Krakowian, that is exactly how I feel. Especially the ‘relaxed’ bit. Physical discomfort combined with a fear of what is to come has a strange effect. I no longer just ‘do’ things, instead, I observe myself doing them and have a sort of heightened awareness. So just putting in eye drops brings the joy that I can still do this, an audit of the sensations I experience and the degree of dexterity demonstrated compared with every previous attempt, then the fear of what will happen when I can’t do this myself and have to ask, or more likely just go without. Everything is so bittersweet. Also, I desperately want to go on holiday, probably a cruise, but daren’t book one because I am so worried that I’ll have a relapse. But then, on the plus side, I feel liberated from some of the petty concerns that previously dominated my world and so grateful for so many things I would otherwise have taken for granted.
Krakowan is actually Welsh Teal, not from Yorkshire, hence my reference!
I have more time to feed my Phoenix, bugger keeps burning his bed though, at least his foods cooked thoroughly
What!!! Gone native then Maybe I’ll become more like the lovely people of the West Mids! Now there’s a thought.
!! Krakowan is a nice person though, bit miserable sometimes, maybe (!!) but nice none the less, I am a bit argumentative at times, they know I don’t mean it xx
I feel I have lost my spontaneity. Every detail of not being at home always requires planning - I even plan my “at home” days as far as possible. So as for being relaxed and carefree - I never was - but I really do miss being able to be spontaneous. And there is no compensation for that for me.
Bound to be pee’ing on someone’s fire here - and I make no apologies for that.
EVERYONE knows that Lancashire is far superior to Yorkshire!
There…I said it
oooooow, now you’ve done it!!! x
What’s wrong with the West Midlands? I’ve lived there and worked there, and there are worse places.
I currently live in Warwickshire, which isn’t quite West Midlands, although some would try to include us in that area.
ay, not having that.
