Tizanidine experiences

I have been on Baclofen for several years but still get leg spasms and stiffiness at night which keep me awake. The MS nurse has told me to try Tizanidine. The doctors surgery rang yesterday and said they are stopping the baclofen and starting Tizanidine. They want me to take 3 times a day but am worried this will make muscles weak during the day and I will struggle to transfer onto stairlift, toilet etc. As these symptoms are only a problem at night really only want to take them at bedtime but the person who rang from surgery had no medical knowledge. When prescription in will ring MS nurse for advice but wondered if anyone else takes this only at night and general experiences whilst on this medication.
