tingling numb legs

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone out there has experienced this.

I have been taking a magnesium supplement which also contains a dose of vitamin b6. I have been taking it for about 40 days and in the last couple of days my feet and legs have been gradullay going numb and tingly. Numb that I can’t feel touch on the skin but I can feel the touch underneath. I know am having this up all the way up to my lower back.

I first though I was at the beginning of a relapse but now I’m not sure. I have done a bit of reading including in the pack of the tablets and apparently vitamin b6 in a high dose can cause mild tingling and numbness. Not something an ms sufferer likes to feel appearing!

I am hoping that it is the b6 that’s causing this and I’m not starting a relapse. Just hope someone else has had some experience of this.

Thank you

Xx

Hiya

I know nothing about B6, sorry, but I can relate to numbness. I have the tingly feeling as well. Still it’s all part and pacel of this MS game. Lack of heighten skin sensation is what am I left with now since 2011. Started with side of abdomen and back. I can feel touch but it’s like being covered with a very thin film.

Hi bgail, The supplements I am guessing wouldn’t be a high dose, as it would put everyone taking it at risk. If you are at all worried I would be inclined to speak to your GP or MS nurse for advice. It may well be a relapse, but a good long chat with these in the know might be able to put your mind at rest. By the way, I have a numbness and tingling in my legs and feet which can come and go throughout the day. As Marty says, it’s part of the game for many of us. J x

I’d say that sounds like a relapse, definitely how mine start off.

Thank you for your replies. I really hoping this was not a relapse but I think it probably is too. I will chat to my nurse later on.

Thank you again x
