The journey never ends.

Hello.

I was on a bit of a roll yesterday and did the final part. I don’t know what came over me. I’ve been out tramping three days on the run and returned to write like a demon. I’m paying for it today. Anyway here’s part three.

I’m going to sit back, watch cricket and the Championship play-off. What’s next? I fancy a blog about the brexit campain. Or maybe about my hatred of contrived compound cliched words.

Best wishes, Steve.

Great blog Steve!!! Interesting the twists and turns we’ve all been through to get here.

Tweeted it. Hope you’re having a nice bank holiday.

Go on Steve Brexit campaign blog. I am steering well clear of anything to do with it. The few times I have mentioned it to friends I have ended up wishing I had kept my trap shut.

Steve - yes l think we should be talking about it ‘Shall we stay or shall we go’. What concerns me is the countries that just might join the EU Community next. Turkey - and Albania could be next. That means hundreds of thousands more immigrants.

l am not sitting on the fence - but leaping from one side to the other - [if only l could]. l know Britain have been trying to ban the export of live animals destined for meat - because of the awful condition and treatment the poor creatures suffer - when they can easily be exported after slaughter here. The kinder option - if you are not vegetarian.

lf’s and buts on both sides. l was born just after WW11 - and can remember the ltalians/Poles who stayed after the world - lots of ltalian prisoners of war - who decided they liked it so much in Britain - that they wanted to make a life for themselves here. But they loved life in Britain - and integrated well and became a real asset. As did the Jamaicans - in the 50’s - they brought a new culture - their food and music and colourful outlook.

But now - [yes l watch too much daytime tv] - have you noticed in the programmes on benefit fraud and social housing scams - they are nearly always people’ who do not have english as their first language’ - We struggle to get benefits they we are more than entitled too - stress over all the form filling in. Then you see someone who can hardly speak a sentence of English - defrauding the government of thousands of pounds. Some have managed to get 3 houses - paid for with housing benefit in different names - then sub-let for double or treble the rent they pay. The properties are usually damaged - so bad - that when the housing officers manage to get them back they have to be completely re-furbished. l watched one this morning - where a lady had managed to get two houses and sub-let them. She admitted in court - that she was trying to save enough for a deposit to buy one of them - ‘her right to buy’ her council house. She had rented the 3 bed house by the room - so each room had a yale lock.

They seem to know - far more- then we do about our rights.

Should be interested in others thoughts Steve - so do start a ‘blog’.

Steve, I just wanted you to know that your blog really helped me, there are so many things that can relate to.
