0131 367 0787 - claiming to be from the local healthcare provider - last time I checked I live in SW England not Edinburgh so…? Spiel about their records show I have health issues and am entitled to a free medical alert something or other. A fair bit of scaremongering about being in accidents and not being able to get help etc.
Yes, thank you for your concern - however - you’ve called the mainline number for a commercial business, which doesn’t to the best of my knowledge have any health issues, not being flesh and blood, it being a company and all that.

Great reply to these scammers - well done and thanks for the thumbs up as they’ll probably try it across the country.
Thanks Theresa. I looked up the number on ‘Who Called Me’. Lots of comments from people saying pretty much what you say. The number gets a negative rating and ‘scam’ label. Some of the comments refer to the caller as using the name ‘Sam’.
Who Called Me is a useful site which I use from time to time. Also have a call guard.
In my more mischievous moments I’m tempted to call back and lead the caller on a long and fruitless goose chase but better things to do with my time
Sounds like you’ve got a classic case of a scam call! I got something similar a while back—claimed to be from my local council about urgent property updates. They had all this jargon and made it sound super urgent. I ended up checking on whocalled.co.uk and found out it was a common scam. Pretty wild how these guys try to freak you out. Just a heads up: if it seems off or too good to be true, it probably is. Save yourself the stress and check it out on a site like that if you’re ever in doubt.
