Symptoms again 10 years after normal MRI

Hi, first time to post!

10 years ago I was referred to neurology for left sided tingling and blurred vision in left eye. Was sent for an MRI and by the time I was back for follow up appt my symptoms had resolved, mri was normal so I was happy enough. Totally forgot about it then!

Fast forward to the past year, left sided tingling has returned and is now accompanied by heavy feeling in left leg/feeling like left leg is slower to move when walking. I’m waiting for neuro appt in January after putting off going to doc for ages (afraid they’d say I was fine seeing as last mri normal!)

I have other symptoms such as brain fog, forgetfulness, have to close my left eye when reading (weird I know!) and a few other random things which on their own I wouldn’t pay much attention to but am joining the dots now!

Just wondering if anyone has any story of having either normal mri previously and then going on to having Ms diagnosed, or if you were diagnosed with anything else? I’m a bit concerned now as the symptoms returning after so long make me feel like it could be a relapse of Ms?

Thanks in advance

Yes indeed funnily enough, for me it was around the 10 years mark when multiple sclerosis reared its ugly head again: first notable time was 2000, then again in 2009 and again in 2017.
Relapse-Remitting MS is definitely true to its name imho.
