Not often i post on here, as i’m fairly new to all this, so really hoping for some advice. I started with my symptoms in June 2013, when i was admitted into hospital suffering from extreme dizziness and also 3rd and 5th Nerve palsy. I was under investigation for ?Stroke, ?Brain Tumour. I had a CT scan in Aand E, and luckily Brain Tumour was ruled out. However dduring my stay in Hossi, i had Lumbar Puncture and a MRI. These came back indicative of MS, This was a complete bolt out of the blue, as up to this point MS was never mentioned.Fast forward on a few months, and unfortunatley the fatigue is extremely difficult to cope with, i have pins and needles in my arms and hands, jumpy legs, and quite alot of dizziness.I just feel shocking. I have been prescribed Pregabalin, which i’m coping with, My Neurologist is a broad spectrum Neurologist and doesn’t specialise in MS, but on my last visit he did say i could be referred if i wanted to a specialist MS Neurologist. He also mentioned in December that he would prescribe something for the fatigue.
However after having my MRI with contrast, and the results are very reassuring with no new lesions, thank god. It transpires that my Neurologist has not got any available appointments until June. How i am supposed to cope wth this fatigue until then i will never know.
I hate the fact that i’m in Limbo land…does anyone think i will get more sense from a MS Specialist Neurologist? Any advic e would be fab…Thanks Guys
