Does anybody sometimes get a sore area on the top of their head (under their skin)? I need to itch / scratch it, but doing so seems to make it worse and often brings on a migraine. I had a bad migraine yesterday and was very sick with it. Inside my head, my neck and the back of my eyes felt inflammed (all unusual for me). I had a sharp shooting pain early on in the day too down the middle of my head. I’ve not been able to sleep properly on my front due to recent restriction in my neck (thinking it’s inflammation / linked to my migraine somehow). The area on top of my head is still tender + bothering me + itchy / a slight burning sensation. I’m wondering if this could be a nerve problem / MS problem instead of a migraine problem, due to the symptoms I experienced yesterday being different to my usual migraines. Does anybody experience this? Does anybody know what it is? Thanks.
Yes I do have no idea why. Its like when i was a kid my mum put my hair up on top of my head with one of those rubber band bobble things TOO TIGHT and when you take it down the head is sore where it has been, and yes it does itch too.
i have come to accept its just another nervous symptom.
Hiya, before I had my first ms episode which lead to my diagnosis, I awoke wirh a sore head. It even hurt to touch my hair! I kept getting my friend at work to check my scalp as we thought shingles. I went to the doctor who said it was from grinding/clenching my teeth in my sleep. Obviously we now now it wasn’t. My neuro said it was the start and first symptom of my ms revealing itself. It went within a couple of weeks. Not had it since. Good luck, hope it passes soon x
