Has anyone else been suffering from this pain I’ve been getting in my shoulder. I find it difficult to lift my arm to put on a jumper or a shirt and also to reach round to the back pocket of my trousers. I did begin to think this was a frozen shoulder but now it started to happen on the other shoulder as well. I do hope this is not another symptom of MS can anyone advise please.
Hi Dave, it could be MS. I sometimes get pain in my left shoulder and top of arm which disappears very suddenly (when things get better very suddenly I usually find it’s MS). I thought at first it was my heart but all checked out ok.
However we should never assume something is MS so best to see the GP.
If you are using walking aid (stick, walker or crutches) it could be ‘secondary pain’ caused by that. Or it might be the way you are walking… tensing your shoulders to help keep your balance. You would be best to see a physio to get it sorted. GP can refer you.
Anyway hon get it checked out.

Yes. I have and had this one. No one was sure what it was but the first course of action is to see the GP like Pat said. I was offered a course of physio to see what happened. I was finding it difficult with coats and reaching around which got me very concerned. The physio was great and the battery of excercises and less time on the computer have made it much, much better. I would say I’m at around 80% back to normal. Physio for me did work but you have to do the excercises every day.
