Not been on here for ages, Have been having falls and trouble with my swallowing reflexes. Any way i have had this lump in my neck since christmas. I know i have been so stupid and just thought it would go away on its own. I asked my doctor to have a look and she booked me in for blood test and a chest Xray. My voice has gone gritty and i now have a cough. My xray has shown a shadow on my lung. I have been fast tracted and se a spech on wednesday next week. You know guys i thought having MS i could not have anything else. How stupid is that? I am so scared. I dont need sympathy i just need help in getting through this next few weeks.
If any body reading this has any lumps, get it checked out!!
The waiting is the worst bit I hope you get sorted and it is soon sorted. Your mind races away with you when you find somethin, like you I ignored a lump and thought I had testicular cancer when did get it checked it was a cyst and not cancer day surgery and home. Hope your problem is as easily treated.
Jane, don’t be scared. Take things a step at a time, and it will all unfold. No point in wondering ‘what if…?’ I was diagnosed with lymphoma four years ago. Only since then has it emerged that I have ppms. I have to say that being treated for cancer was relatively easy compared to living with ms day in, day out. If you find (I hope you do) that the health and care services look after you well with your ms, you’d be amazed at how much more you are supported through cancer treatment. And this is jumping the gun, just what I advised you not to do. It could be something far less traumatic. We’ll all pray it is. Kev x
Oh Jane that is scary news for you, but as Kev says, take it one step at a time… and let’s hope it’s something easily treated. I suppose we all think that MS is it…the one and only… surely nothing else could come along. Only natural so don’t beat yourself up for thinking that. You know we are all here to support you through this… that’s what friends are for. Be thinking of you on Wednesday. Come on and tell us what the specialist says. Hope you have someone you can be with over the weekend? Big hugs, Pat xx
Jane good luck for Wednesday. Shadows aren’t always very nasty, many can be treated. As the others have advised, take it one step at a time. We’re all here if you need us. Please let us know how you get on.
Hi Jane, I am new to this site, but would like to send positive thoughts to you. I am a very practical person and like to do things to solve problems. There is nothing you can do until you get definite information. It is easier said than done, and in the meantime stay as well as possible. As Pat says I hope you have someone to share this lovely weather with this weekend. Best wishes for Wednesday. ((((Hugs))))) Jackie x x
Yes it is a scary time for you, but please just take one day at a time, stress only makes things worse. I know that is easier said than done, but we are all here for you, wishing for good news.
Good luck for Wednesday, will be thinking of you, please come back and let us know how you are.
Jane, I’m so sorry, it must be very scary for you, but as Cath says, it may not be nasty. I do hope you have someone to go with you. We shall be thinking of you, please let us all know how you get on and in the meantime rest as much as you possibly can. Take care, Nina x
