Self catheterisation anyone? Can I ask that question?

I have stupid stupid bladder and constant UTI. I had my review with my doctor today and suffering my second UTI in less then 2 months, its just ongoing.

I had a scan of my bladder some months back and it showed my bladder was not emptying properly. I tried a few exercises to try and help but it doesnt seem to be working.

Now my doctor has advised perhaps i should try SC. I am now waiting to see specialist incontinence nurse to discuss the options.

I have to say i am bricking it the thought of having to do that is kind of making my eyes sore lol…

Just wonder if anyone would share their experiences by PM. I need to do something as I am exhausted getting up constantly to the toilet.

I will PM you Goldengirl. Honestly though you soon get the hang of it. I took about 3 times to find the area that the water comes out and once I found it it was easy. Once I SC I am safe for hours.

Hi there, I know ISC sounds scary and difficult, but it is actually super easy. It will make such a difference to your life. It takes a bit of practice at first, but once you get the hang of it, it will become part of your daily routine, just like brushing your teeth.
