Seeking advice ๐Ÿ’œ

Hello everyone, my name is Janet and I live in Glasgow. I have been diagnosed 8 years now with PPMS, Iโ€™m seeking advice from anyone that may have been or is in the same situation as myself. My housing are still not doing anything to help me move to a low down safer home, I stay first floor in an overcrowded apartment with 5 others (my family) I have been pushing and trying to get the help and support I need since my diagnosis but still nothing and now itโ€™s becoming difficult staying in this house. I have had all the letters of support, OT even came out and said there was nothing they could do as the apartment is to small and crowed (so no adaptions in place). I feel like they are just not listening to me at this point and now Iโ€™m turning to seek advice from others.

Anything anyone can advice would be appreciated.

Hi

have you tried citizens advice or your local council, also charities etc as they can lend you money to move out?

Itโ€™s of no comfort to you but unfortunately in this world, sometimes one needs to shout louder and more often.

Iโ€™m sure you are waiting dutifully in the queue for attention but perhaps you could escalate things. Ask for a Head of Department in Housing, OT, Adult Social Care, local Councillor, MP etc. Can your family be more proactive on your behalf?

Hi there @scotlandthebrave40 , the only thing I can think of is phoning the MS Society help line to see is that can offer advice, or perhaps Citizens Advice?
