Hi Guys. Well its finally arrived my first visit to the neuro…so nervious about it, not sure what to expect…which is daft really as im an ex trained nurse…ive listed the main symptoms ive had so i can at least tell him.
Hope all goes well Mac51… Good luck and let us know how you get on… Vickie x
Hi Mac,
This will give you an idea what to expect but they differ; http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/diagnosingms.html. Ask if they have an MS Nurse; as you know nurses are better than doctors.

Good luck and my neuro really appreicated my list. I also split symptoms into timeframes too which he said was good and saved me going and another thing etc… hope goes ok x
Good luck Mac!! Hope it goes well. The list is a good idea. Noreen x
Good luck, you will be fine deffo take a list and like amc1 said if you can give a time frame of when and what symptoms happened that’s freally helpful. For me seeing the neuro the first time really helped as he gave me a better idea of what to expect in terms of medications etc and came away feeling like I had a little more control of this bugger! As mad as that sounds! My fingers are numb so I’m sorry for any typos! Let us know how you go on

Good luck, I hope it goes well. I guess the best thing is to not expect answers at the first appointment. I hope that they listen to you and help to make a plan going forward!

Hi Guys. Well had the appointment with my neuro today…what a suprise he was a MS specilist (which i wasnt expecting), sat and listerned to every thing i said, read my list of symptoms, asked me loads of questions going back to my early thirties…the examination was a long one…at the end he said that in his opion i may of had very mild MS for a long time and now it seems to to be showing its self again…so said i proberlty have MS but will will know for sure after an MRI scan of my spine and brain. So i feel that i have got a partcial Dx even if its not totally confirmed.
Hi Mac
Really pleased to hear you saw a helpful and informed neuro. I’m both sorry and happy to hear you have a partial diagnosis (in that at least it’s one more step out of limbo land). I hope you don’t have to wait too long for the rest of the diagnostic tests and take care of yourself in the mean time.
