I recently purchased a new rollator that turns into a wheelchair when I can’t walk any further, it’s expensive and great. Thought I’d share this as it may be useful for others.
Hi Verona, sounds great I will get Googling, do you have any name for the product?

I`d like to look at it too.
Sounds great
Hope it does the job for you.

Alternatively you could just buy a wheelchair. You can push it around like a Rollator when you are able to walk, and it’s already a wheelchair when you’ve had enough.
I made a simple removable footrest for my wife’s rollator, if she’s run out of energy she uses the seat function puts her feet on the rest and I can just wheel her back again - I wouldn’t want to use over a long distance but as the max she can walk is about 200 yards it’s not a problem.
I can give better details if required but basically it’s a small piece of 12mm ply (about 250mm X 100mm) a pair of side release clips and some 25mm webbing strap - it lives in the basket of the rollator when not in use.
I have a Drive Rollator/wheelchair. It’s been very useful although its now been superceded by electric wheelchairs. Without the foot rests I could propel myself in the kitchen or anywhere else.
Best wishes.
