Remember Me? (and sorry I've been indiscreet)

Hello all, long time no post.

How you all doing?

I’ve still got MS and it’s strangely getting progressively worse! Thinking of doing X Factor next year as I can’t sing but can do a fair sob story. Been getting physio at home which has had it’s bonuses as I took a shine to one of the physios but my flirting skills are well out of practise.

Falling down has become a weekly event and getting assessed for a wheelchair later this week.

So what you all been up to and what’s your stories?

Hello grumps. Welcome back.

I think the main story is one of progression. I’ve bought two new electric wheelchairs which have totally transformed my life. I don’t drive anymore but I can get on a bus and train. It’s hello to the outside world again. I know the electric ones are expensive but the benefits are amazing. I’ve travelled from Tunbridge Wells to Liverpool and the Isle of Wight twice. I’ve been able to socialise and move about rather than being rooted to the settee.

I can’t give much advice on flirting skills though.

Best wishes, Steve.

Hello to both Mr Grumpy and Steve Snore.

I’ve not been on the site for …well, I don’t know how long. I used to enjoy using the chat room that I think was linked to this website. I can’t use the computer as much as I’d like as it causes eye, head and face pain if I stay on too long. So, I’ve just been doing what I need to and then leaving it alone, which is a pity as I’ve missed coming on here.

So it’s just “Hello” from me and hope you are both doing ok.

Hello Mr Grumpy! Long time no see!!!

It’s good to see you on here.

I can compete on the sob story stakes. I was dx with breast cancer in March! Sounds very dramatic doesn’t it, but was actually very simple and I was incredibly lucky! A small stage 1 cancer which was removed & had radiotherapy. Now on a pill which makes my joints ache & gives me problems in getting to sleep. But hey…it all could have been so much worse so I’m not complaining.

Getting a wheelchair seems like a big step (although of course you can’t actually take a big step!) but in fact it’s just another way to remain independent. I think Steve is our top guy for using his electric wheelchair! Extremely brave of him travelling around the country in his w/c!

I use mobility scooter for local trips and a manual w/c with a carer for longer trips…but I think you should go for an electric w/c for full independence! I was actually offered an electric one by wheelchair services (a council service. GP referral. They service the w/c once a year & replace it if there’s a problem. Costs you nothing BUT the service varies from council to council).

Hope you are all settled down in the new house? Sorry I’ve forgotten how to flirt!

All the best,

Pat xx

Blimey Pat, you’ve been through t’mill but if you weren’t of the fairer sex I’d say you had balls.

The bungalow came at a good time as just the sight of stairs makes me panic. Don’t worry about the flirting, I’d run a mile if I could if she took me up on it.

Welcome back to the forum Mr Grumpy and Buffyanne, glad to hear from both of you.

Whats been happening to me? I am a tad older, slower than a snail at doing everything, fed up of pain meds that make me a zombie…but hey ho, such is life.

Hi buddies.

Believe it or not, I’m also a tad older. 2017 sees me hit a certain age ending in a 0. Only my IQ is going in reverse.
