I’m so unsure what’s going on. For the past week (ish) I e been feeling so exhausted . I’ve been getting burning sensations in my legs and dreadful neck back and leg ache. I felt like this when I had my last relapse, is this another or am I just havi.g a bad week?
Hello Adam,
It’s hard to tell, when did you have your last relapse, is it the residue of the last relapse. When you have a relapse the symptoms don’t always disappear completely, sometimes they do and sometimes not. It really depends on when your last relapse was. I do hope you feel better very soon.

Hi Janet, my last relapse was in march, my ms nurse told me that my ms is quite active, how she knows that I’m not sure. It’s just the past week I’m really struggling with things. Thanks x
Sounds like a possible relapse to me but Janet knows far more than I do and first hand. I’ve replied on my post to your question about taking gabapentin. Have you reported your new symptoms to your MS nurse?
I haven’t deb because I feel a little like I’m bothering her. My mum has ms and is really bad and I feel my problems are minor compared to others. Thanks for replying

Hi Adam,
Its difficult to say if this is the start of a relapse or not. Is your diagnosis new? With time and experience you will get to know what the signs are.
Are you on any dmd’s yet? or have you been offered any?
Please never feel that you are bothering your ms nurse - thats what they are there for. I’ve rung mine several times this year about my symptoms. It is important that the ms nurse/neuro have a full picture of whats going on so that they can give you the help you need.
I feel that the sooner you tell the ms nurse about your latest symptoms the better it will be. She can advise you.
Best wishes

Hiya having looked at your profile and you not being on DMD I would definately speak to your ms nurse as all of these episodes may be a factor in meeting the criteria.
Hope you start to feel better soon.
Pip
Hi Teresa and pip, I started on copaxone about 6 weeks ago and was diagnosed earlier on in the year, this is why I’m not sure if its a relapse as I haven’t felt this bad since march. X
I agree with Teresa and pip definitely contact your ms nurse its what she’s there for. Hope you feel better soon. Xxx
Could you have a UTI? They can make symptoms much worse and you don’t always know you’ve got one. If I were you, I would go and see my GP and get tested. If the test is clear, and there is nothing else going on (like a virus - have you got a cold e.g.?), then it could be a relapse or some early warning signs of one - in which case you definitely need to speak to your MS nurse.
Please don’t compare yourself to anyone except for yourself. Not only are we are all very very different, whether or not someone else is worse off really isn’t relevant: if you are struggling, you are struggling, and there is help out there if you just ask.
I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Karen, errrr what is a uti? Forgive my lack of knowledge on this one. X

Hi Adam,
Karen is thinking you have a wee infection! lol! (urinary tract infection) perhaps!
Sometimes when you have ms the symptoms can be made worse by an infection of some kind. Or could you be coming down with something ie. cold/flu/virus. All these things could explain why you are feeling unwell at the moment other than another relapse.
Take care

Oops sorry! Yes, as Teresa says, a UTI is a urinary tract infection, aka a “water” or urine infection. Very common in MS unfortunately
Kx
Thanks for that and I hope it is just a cold or uti ( wee infection)
