Reducing a drug

Hello, I’m Jan Rosam, I haven’t been on the forum for a few years. I actually forgot that I was even registered.
A neurologist was to give me a botox injection in my very stiff ankle. WhenI got there, a nurse was waiting and she expalined that the reason I had too high muscle tone was because I was on a too high dose of baclafen. She told me how to gradually reduce it and that she would write to my GP with instructions to prescribe me another drug to help with an increase in night time spasms.
The neurologist came in halfway through and agreed with the nurse. There was no mention of the botox injection. I can’t start this new drug before I am completely off of baclafen. I have three to go and I really struggling. Up most of the night with worse and more frequent spasms.
I am cross with myself for not asking more questions. Iam trying to do that viaemail now but it’such a slow process.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and let me know the outcome? Will very much appreciate the info. Thank you.

Jan

I found magnesium sorted my problem with restless legs and no harm in trying to see if it helps.
