I’m new to this forum and any other forum, so hope to get this right!!
My Mum has had PPMS for over 10 years and is pretty much confined to a wheelchair, she has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will need an operation and 6 weeks of radiotherapy. I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience and can offer any advice on how to handle this? I’m really worried about how the tiredness from travelling to treatment and the treatment itself will affect her. Would love some ideas on what we can do to help support her?
So sorry about you Mums diagnosis, I can’t offer any personal advice I just wanted to ask if you or your Mum have spoken to her MS Nurse she may be able to give advice.
I’m sure it will impact on her MS, as everything does. I agree with Jan, talk to the MS nurse.
You might find if you post on Everyday Living you will find others who have had breast cancer and MS. They might not have PPMS but they still might be able to offer good advice. It’s a much bigger group than on this board.
But please feel free to come back on post on here & we can support you as much as we can. Perhaps it would help your mum to come on here? We are a friendly group and would be happy to welcome her.
