Powered indoor/outdoor wheelchair which also rises

Hi,

I have a scooter and a rollator and a manual wheelchair. My house is beginning to look like a parking lot. I’d like to

rationalise the lot as I am finding my mobility is getting worse and a wheel chair is now a necessity. The manual is difficult to

handle. I am using my scooter more but it is of little use in the kitchen.

I am having a kitchen adapted and was considering a rise and fall unit for sink and hob but the cost is high

and it struck me that if I had a wheelchair which was able to go rise up between 4 and 6 inches, it would be sufficent

to leave normal height worktops (without units under). Ideally I am looking a for stable indoor/ outdoor model and would welcome some advise.

I have looked for similar but have no experience, I can tell you though that the traveluxe venture may be a place to start, they are available from well known UK suppliers, I did order one scooter (not that one though) from one site that offered refunds if you weren’t satisfied for any reason…and they were as good as their word! I think they are £1000ish, good luck! tp is to look for elevated or elevating seat rather than rise or raise when searching!

I have a Jazzy Pride 6 ( think thats the model )

It ,s seat goes up for worktop use etc.

Mine cost a rediculous £1800 but I have since seen new ones for less than £1000

This is a powerchair suits indoors or out as long as your home is not too restricted on getting about in a wheelchair it hould be fine.

Many thanks for your comments - I am making a short list and will try to get demonstrations of the various chairs. I see many good things written about the Jazzy Pride 6.
