Does anyone struggle with postural headaches? I’ve had them every day with varying severity for over a year. No diagnosis yet as doctors are fobbing me off and A&E claim I just have a migraine. The headaches are only when upright and almost completely disappear within minutes of laying down, only morphine helps
Hi @Kayleigh24
Has anyone taken your blood pressure when lying down and compared it to when you’re standing up? Is this something you’d be able to monitor yourself at home and take the results back to your GP?
Yeah apparently it’s fine, I’ve had it checked loads of times. My heart rate does jump because of pots but I’ve had that for years and apparently regular migraine meds typically work. I had a head injury that started the headaches if that helps
Hi i know this is an old post but please look into csf leaks.
This is my main theory but they haven’t found evidence of one on the scans and keep passing me back to headache clinics who don’t know what’s going on
Is it Trigeminal neuralgia? When I was diagnosed I had stabbing pains in my head and was told it’s hemiplegic migraines . A year on and I’m still experiencing the same pain and the same areas of my head/ face are numb, or burning they’ve now said Trigeminal neuralgia and as soon as I took my first carbamazepine the pain went was such a nice feeling to be pain free. Hope you get to the bottom of your pain .
