“she kept asking me if I ever forgot an appointment I said I couldn’t remember I didn’t think so that I was stupid”
Perhaps, the assessor wanted to know about your short-term memory for the enhanced mobility.

They’re entitled to review up to 12 months before the end date, they did the same to me.
Good luck with it

So I had the assessment today - the lady was very nice but I’m not holding my breath. Her parting words were it takes around 6 weeks and your benefits will be paid as normal up until a decision has been made … so watch this space
just to update - had my decision today - my benefits are staying the same until 2023 - I’m so relieved - I was certain they were going to take my car off me. That was the good news of the day the bad news I have been diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia this afternoon which is agonising but hey - I suppose I can’t expect everything to be rosy! xx
Excellent news about the PIP. Well done.
Sorry to hear about the TN.
Sue
You have good news I am still waiting to hear my fate from them .Sorry to hear about your TN.

Great news I too am awaiting the decision on mine
I got the letter with my decision today which I am happy with standard care and higher mobility. A other point would have given me higher care but I am happy with what I have got .I only got it for 4 years.
Jennifer
So long as you’re happy with the award, that’s all that matters. Well done.
Sue
I got my PIP result today higher rate mobility and standard care the same as my DLA. Although only got it for 5 years. Obviously not like DLA I was indefinite. Happy enough.
Brilliant. Well done you. That’s a massive relief I’m sure.
Sue
Some good news at last!
Best wishes to all.
Hi, I hope everyone is well. I’ve claimed for PIP, I’ve had my interview and assessment. The assessment was to stand up, bend my legs and hold my arms up. I’ve been turned down so will not be getting that benefit. To me, that assessment was really untruthful. They should have come to see me after I’d walked down to the shops because that is when I start to suffer and can barely walk. I’m trying so hard not to get frustrated with it all. Best wishes, Jo
I was told to stand up took a spams could not move sit in my chair and try and reach my feet. I hope you are going to appeal I was 1 point of the 12 to get higher care so I have applied for the longer form of your assessment. When I have a look at I will decide what I am going to do . She asked me to squeeze her rt hand I could not feel her hand she asked me to squeeze tighter I told her my hand was numb and I could not feel it.
Hi, Jenny, I do want to appeal. My new fit note (I don’t know why they call it fit note) says that I have MS, I also have a couple of hospital appointments coming up soon so I hope I can get some more paperwork that I can use in my appeal. Still, I live in hope! Best wishes, Jo
Good news, really pleased for you.

Hiya, Jenny, I have my appointment with a Dr at St Georges on the 29th March so hopefully, I will be referred to an MS nurse on this day. It would feel like I’m making a bit of progress. Best wishes, Jo
It’s useful to keep a PIP Diary to send for PIP, to show your MS Nurse, or GP to write up in their reports on you which can be sent in with the form. PIP is about learning how to generate evidence. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Documents/Advice%20(public)/pip-diary.pdf
